Val
and Sherry Treece are the Founders and Senior Pastors
of Family Worship Center of Jackson located at 1340
North Parkway in Jackson, Tennessee.
Val
and Sherry have two beautiful daughters who also serve
in the ministry with them along with their two husbands.
They have four wonderful grandchildren who are a joy
to their hearts.
Sherry
is a former officer of Women’s Aglow and is
currently the Women’s Pastor. God has gifted
Sherry with an awesome ability to write short stories
and poetry. She has a vast selection, and you know
that God is in them, for they really touch your heart.
One of her favorite past-times is cooking and serving
others. She is a gourmet cook and loves to entertain.
She enjoys flowers, gardening, her lovely home and
her family. She has a beautiful voice and has been
a part of the music ministry and the sanctuary choir
at the church, often rendering worship service specials.
She is a teacher of the word and has ministered to
several ladies groups over the years. She is an exhorter
and encourager and believes that her family has been
called to the body of Christ for this hour to bring
reconciliation and restoration to all races.
Pastor
Val has a strong gifting in the area of ministering
to other pastors. He continues to develop leaders
in the body of Christ. He is a facilitator of vision
and has aided many in his own church and other churches
to help them accomplish God’s vision and destiny
for their lives.
Pastor
Val has ministered in Wales and in Africa and God
has been opening doors for him to other pastors in
other countries. He is actively involved in “Every
Home for Christ Ministries,” helping spread
the gospel all over the world.
Pastor
Val has served on the board of several civic organizations
in Jackson including Big Brothers, Big Sisters and
R.I.F.A. At this time, he is treasurer of the Jackson
Area Ministerial Association, also known as JAMA.
In 1995, he and his daughter, Heather Morrow, worked
together to develop a program in Jackson called Operation
H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Prepare for Excellence).
It is an after school, tutoring program that also
reaches the entire families of at risk children with
help, hope and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Several
families have been added to their local church and
the crime rate in this area has significantly dropped
as a result of this ministry.
At
Family Worship Center, the staff, leadership and members
know that they are true Shepherds with Servants’
Hearts and God’s Gift to their Body.
