Bible:
Both
the Old and New Testament, is the inspired,
the only infallible, authoritative Word of
God for faith and practice for humanity. It
alone determines all doctrinal truths (Prov.
30:5; Rom. 16:25, 26; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet.
1:20, 21).
|
Trinity:
There
is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
God the Father, the Son (Jesus, Who is the
Word of God), and the Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:26;
Isa. 9:6; Matt. 3:16, 17; 28:19; Luke 1:35;
Heb. 3:7-11; 1 John 5:7).

Jesus
Christ:
Our
Lord Jesus Christ is God and Man in one person.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born
of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life,
performed miracles by the power of the Holy
Spirit, healed many who were oppressed by
the devil, and atoned for sin through His
shed blood and death. He was bodily resurrected
and ascended to the right hand of God the
Father and will bodily return in power and
glory as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
(Isa. 7:14; 9:6; Matt. 1:18, 23-25; Luke 1:27-35;
John 1:1,14; 20:28; Phil. 2:5,6; 1 Tim. 2:5;
3:16).

Sin
& Salvation:
Mankind
was created in the image of God, but as a
result of sin, is lost and powerless to save
himself. The only hope for humanity is to
repent of this state of sinfulness, believe
on Jesus Christ and confess that He is Lord.
Salvation cannot be earned through good works
or any other human effort. Mankind is reconciled
to God through faith alone and by God's grace
alone (Gen. 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Rom. 5:12-21,
10:9, 10; Acts 16:31; Gal. 2:16; 3:8; Eph.
2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Heb. 9:22).
|
Regeneration:
The
Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the
believer to have a relationship with God.
It is through His indwelling that each believer
has the power to live godly and righteous
lives (John 6:44, 65).
|
Baptism
of the Holy Spirit:
Given
on the Jewish Day of Pentecost, the Baptism
of the Holy Spirit is the Promise of the Father.
God the Father sent the Holy Spirit after
Jesus ascended in order to empower the Church
to preach the gospel throughout the whole
world. All believers are entitled to, should
ardently expect, and earnestly seek the baptism
in the Holy Spirit, according to the command
of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal
experience of all in the early Christian Church
(Joel 2:28,29; Matt. 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts
1:5; 2:1-4,17,38,39; 8:14-17; 10:38,44-47;
11:15-17; 19:1-6).
|
Gifts
of the Spirit:
The
Holy Spirit is manifested in a variety of
Spiritual Gifts available to all believers
in order to strengthen the Church, demonstrate
the validity of Jesus' resurrection, and confirm
the power of the gospel. Believers are commanded
to earnestly desire these gifts, which should
always be used in harmony with the scriptures
and never be used in violation of Biblical
parameters (Rom. 1:11; 12:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:1-31;
14:1-40; Eph. 4:16; 1 Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:5-16;
Heb. 2:4; 1 Pet. 4:10).
|
Church:
Jesus
Christ is the Head of the church, which is
His glorious Body on the earth. The Church
is the habitation of God through the Spirit.
God intended that the church be the catalyst
to extend his Kingdom on the earth. Any believer
in the Lord Jesus Christ is a member of His
Body and therefore should be equipped to love
and serve fellow believers and sinners alike-
fellow believers so that the church may grow
in unity; unbelievers so that they may witness
the love, character, and power of Jesus Christ
and be saved (John 17:11, 20-23; Eph. 1:22;
2:19-22; Heb. 12:23).
|
Sacraments:
The
Church is commanded to observe two sacraments,
or sacred acts of worship:
• Water Baptism: Following
the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, the convert
is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized
in water in the name of the Father, and of
the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19;
Acts 2:38).
• The Lord's Supper:
Committed believers partake of the elements
of bread and juice, symbolizing the body and
blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, in remembrance
of His sacrifice on the cross (Matt. 26:26-29;
Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47,48; 1
Cor. 10:16; 11:23-26).

The
Second Coming, Resurrection & Eternal
Judgment:
Jesus Christ will bodily return
at the end of this age, a date undisclosed
by the scriptures, to fully establish His
Kingdom on earth. At this point, the saved
and the lost will be resurrected from the
dead-they that are saved will be resurrected
into heaven, the eternal dwelling place for
all believers in the gospel, they that are
lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation
in hell (Matt. 5:3, 12, 20; 6:20; 19:21; 25:34,
41; Mark 9:43-48; Luke 24:16,36,39; John 2:19-21,
17:24, 20:26-28; 21:4; Acts 24:15; 1 Cor.
15:42,44; 2 Cor. 5:1; Phil. 1:21-23; 3:21;
Heb. 9:27; Heb. 11:16; 1 Pet. 1:4; Rev. 14:9-11;
20:12-15; 21:8).
